GG RESCUE DRILL

Yesterday morning the GG crew gathered together down the harbour for a rescue drill. This is something we do regularly to keep the safety routines fresh in mind. We have done it many times before but we think safety can not be practised too much.

FASTER, BIGGER, CLOSER

At first we had the honour to watch two blue whales – the biggest animals that have ever lived on earth. When we arrived in the area where the whales were swimming around, something extraordinary happened – one of the blue whales was raising the fluke out of the water before its deep dive! The next 45 minutes we had a great time with those two Ocean Giants.

LUCKY IN ALL WAYS - ESPECIALLY WHALE-WISE

Last week we were extremely lucky during our whale watching trips – not only with the weather, but also whale-wise. Most of the whales decided to spend their weekend in the bay. Maybe also this week.

BLOWS AND TAILS, TAILS AND BLOWS

Completely blue sky, calm waters and blows and tails everywhere for the last two days in Skjálfandi Bay. After the storm, the beams of sun were very welcome by crew and passengers and so was the mirror-like sea.
