We turned the bad sea conditions into something good yesterday, when captain and guides working on our speed boats practised safety on board RIB Amma Kibba through having a rescue drill. We saved each other from the sea, practised climbing the ladder, how to put the rescue belt on in the water, how to lift an unconscious person back on board, went over all the safety equipment a.
The white-beaked dolphin is the most common type of dolphin in the North Atlantic Ocean. Being very robust, they are perfectly adapted for the cold waters in the north where they are resident even during the cold winters.

Yesterday the local town festival Mærudagar started here in Húsavík. It is a four day long festivity with constant happenings down in the harbour and the different areas of town decorated in the three candy colors; pink, green and orange.
The other day we got surprised by a quite playful whales and finally, a really curious humpback. After we left Lundey, Puffin Island, during our Big Whale Safari on our RIB boat Amma Sigga we were heading further out towards the mountains on the other side of the bay.
During the last days we have been blessed with some really good weather here. Yesterday Húsavík had sun and 25°c (!). Most people in town wore T-shirts and had ice-cream, which almost seems like compulsory on such days.
