THE BEAUTY OF WILD NATURE

Sailing out into Skjálfandi Bay means going out on an adventure into the wild. And as unpredictable as wild nature can be, as surprising it is at the same time. One might be sailing along the mountain range and whilst enjoying the views of the majestic Cheek Mountains, out of the blue of the deep ocean a whale emerges and disturbs the silence with the sound of its powerful blow.

AS GRACEFUL AS A MINKE

Skjálfandi Bay is known for the diversity of its wildlife and even though humpback whales are the most common whale to show up here, there is a wide range of other species visiting our bay, too. One of them is the minke whale, which is often found near the coastline in the southern part of the bay or along the mountains on the western side.
