Two weeks only. The countdown continues. Our whale watching tours will start earlier than ever before this year – on 15th March – and we are getting the final things together to make this the best season ever.

Some might think there is nothing going on at Gentle Giants at this time of year when our boats stay in harbour, but under the surface there is so much happening – not at least for our sales team which has its busiest period now.

Yesterday was a very social day for Gentle Giants when we attended the natural Icelandic tourism workshop Mannamót. The name means "people coming together" and suits well for this event where around 200 tourism companies from all over Iceland gather to present their businesses, side by side, in an airplane hangar in Reykjavík.
Imagine a late summer evening in the north of Iceland. The day breeze has left, the sea is like a mirror and the neversetting midnight sun paints the entire sky in warm colours. You are on board a drifting speedboat, waiting for that peaceful humpback whale to resurface for more long, loud breaths.
It is always fun to see our tours through the passengers' eyes. This is possible thanks to different kinds of tags on various digital platforms.
