FAREWELL TO A FANTASTIC 2025 WHALE WATCHING SEASON

As November comes to a close, we say goodbye to another memorable and successful whale watching season here in Húsavík.

A huge THANK YOU goes out to all of our passengers and partners who joined us in 2025, as well as to our dedicated crew on land and at sea. Your passion, dedication, and energy — coming from near and far — made every tour unique and unforgettable.

Looking back, 2025 was a season full of lifetime memories, both on the bay and on land, moments that will continue to bring smiles as we gaze at the ocean in the months ahead.

Countless unforgettable whale encounters made every single day out on Skjálfandi Bay special — from playful dolphins and minke whales to majestic humpbacks and the giants of the ocean, the blue whales. Along the way, we also welcomed special visitors such as long-finned pilot whales, northern bottlenose whales, fin whales, and even a sei whale. Bottlenose dolphins were sighted for the very first time in our bay, and also basking sharks made an appearance several times.

Now, our eyes are already set on 2026, and we can’t wait to welcome you aboard. Our tours — from the classic GG1 Whale Watching on our oak boats to the adventurous GG2 Big Whale Safari & Puffins on the RIB speedboats — will return starting April 1st, 2026.

Planning your Iceland trip for next year? Our online bookings for 2026 are open! Check out our website for tour details, schedules, and secure your whale watching adventure today.

We can’t wait to see you in Húsavík next spring and to share the pristine beauty of Skjálfandi Bay and its incredible ocean inhabitants with you.
