GENTLE GIANTS FEATURED IN UK JOURNALISM STUDENT PROJECT

Gentle Giants recently had the pleasure of being featured in a project by journalism students from the University of Salford in the UK. As part of their coursework, the students explored the world of whale watching—choosing to dive into the story of Gentle Giants, our history and work here in Húsavík, the Whale Capital of Iceland.
The students connected with us online to learn more about our tours, the whales we encounter, and the importance of responsible wildlife tourism as the whale watching industry is on a rise. As part of their research, they interviewed our Assistant Manager and Head of Sales, Daniel Annisius, and our guide, Nikolina Sokcic, to learn about their daily roles and what it’s like to work so closely with these gentle giants.
Their articles aim to highlight the magic of whale watching and the people behind the scenes who make it all happen. We’re excited to have been part of their project and look forward to seeing the stories they create in the future, wishing them the best luck in their future studies.
