FINISHING APRIL IN STYLE

Blue whale fluking

April definitely finished in style: another BLUE WHALE visited our bay today!

The first month of our whale watching season has been unusually successful with several species having been sighted - all the way from the smallest to the tallest.

From smallest species to largest, we...

... had several dolphin sightings especially in the first half of April.

... spotted minke whales from early on and several times throughout the month.

...spotted humpback whales daily since the 17th of April (and most of the days several individuals per tour - up to 9 at some point!)

... already had three blue whales visiting the bay!

Besides all these incredible sightings, also the weather has been a bliss. In fact, we enjoyed sunshine and flat seas most of the days!

As May is starting we once again add daily departures to our schedule:

🗓 “GG1 Whale Watching” on our traditional oak boats departs daily at 09:45, 13:15

🗓 “GG2 Big Whale Safari & Puffins” on our modern RIB speedboats departs daily at 09:30, 11:00, 12:30, 15:00

📍 Húsavík, Iceland
