TIME FLIES WHEN YOU'RE HAVING FUN
Time flies when you're having fun, and fun we had in July!
The weather has been fantastic almost throughout the entire month and the abundant presence and variety of marine wildlife in Skjálfandi Bay has simply been wonderful too. Our most common sightings were humpback and minke whales, whereas numerous white beaked dolphins frequently swam around and close to our boats as well.
But it didn't stop there, July also treated us with rare visits by sei whales, northern bottlenose whales, orcas and large pods of long finned pilot whales. These visits are special and unique, but it shows us just how much marine life is drawn towards Skjálfandi Bay and how much the bay is buzzing with wildlife these days.
We were honoured to welcome many guests from all over the world and it was a pleasure of having them on board with us. It's always wonderful to share the wildlife experience and for us it never gets old when an entire boat cheers or claps when a whale is showing us its beautiful and impressive tail.
July is almost over now, but we can't wait to see what August will bring!
