A PASSENGER'S POST AND BIG WHALE VIDEO

Hellooooo! Here’s a look at how Day 6 went in Iceland: It was a chilly morning heading out of Akureyri - barely above freezing - however the drive into the Northern coastal town of Húsavík was beautiful in the morning light. We arrived at @gentlegiantswhalewatching with a day plan of seeing beautiful humpback whales! Geared up in waterproof insulated suits we boarded a rad speedboat, discussed an overview of the trip ahead, and zipped out to sea. Initially we saw a larger vessel in the distance so we piggy-backed it's spot hoping to get a glimpse of a humpback. Nothing yet. We jumped from a few different spots spending 1-5 minutes at each before getting a sighting! Four or five more encounters followed in various locations in between waiting or speeding around with another similar boat. We even had a whale come right up next to and under our boat. An exciting experience to see the humpbacks and how sweet they are, the crew showed us a great time!
