THE SOCIAL LIFE OF A HUMPBACK WHALE
Whilst humpback whales keep showing up in big numbers, especially throughout the past days many of them are spending their time in the same area. One can spot their spouts all around whilst waiting for the nearest individual to surface again.
In addition, almost daily we see several of them swimming at least in pairs, but often way more individuals are seen swimming side by side socialising with the nearby fellows. The largest amount counted was eight individuals swimming perfectly lined up with just a "flipper-length" between them.
