WHALES CELEBRATING NATIONAL DAY WITH US
Yesterday, 17th of June, was Iceland's National Day. The sun was shining and the sea was calm, reflecting the blue sky and sun. Whales were spotted all over they bay, the first ones only a short sailing time away from the harbor. As if they were joining the celebration, not only one, but several individuals showed their acrobatic skills by leaping out of the water, flipper-slapping or rolling over.
The harbor was busy and among all the whale enthusiasts, which were boarding our boats, were as well our guests from the cruise ship Ocean Diamond, which once again had arrived to Húsavík whilst on its way around Iceland.
Inside the workshop, our staff celebrated the National Day enjoying a fabulous chocolate-whale-cake.
