ORCAS TAKING IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Jumping Orca Family

Since our season started in the beginning of April, orcas have been encountered on our tours surprisingly and especially unusually often.

However, yesterday they certainly took it to the next level: A pod of about 20 individuals – consisting of at least one new-born, several young calves and juveniles as well as grown up females and huge males - showed up all around our boats which were out at sea at that time. But when at some point one of the calves decided to leap out of the water, the rest of the family – no matter the age or size – couldn't resist and just minutes later the whole family started to breach out of the water right in between our oak boat "Sylvía" and RIB speed boat "Amma Kibba". Words alone can't describe how incredible and unbelievable the show was we were getting out there – watch the video below to see it for yourself! Writing this down, I am having goosebumps again!
