A WHALE FESTIVAL

BLUE WHALE, HUMPBACKS, ORCAS, MINKE, DOLPHINS SEEN ON SAME TOUR

Even though April was just the beginning of the season, it has been a pretty spectacular month. Many different and furthermore rare visitors welcomed our whale watching boats in Skjálfandi Bay.

As if to make sure that this month would stay in everyone’s memory, for the last day of April five out of eight so far sighted species met up again today:
Out of nowhere several HUMPBACK WHALES entered the bay (some alone, others in pairs), whilst a BLUE WHALE was seen near the mountains. On the other side of the bay about twenty KILLER WHALES arrived and a MINKE as well as DOLPHINS showed up out of the blue.

With the beginning of May we add several departures for both, the “GG1 Whale Watching” on the oak boats as well as the “GG2 Big Whale Safari and Puffins” on the RIBs.

You find our schedule for both trips here.
