THE LOVELY BLUE
Yesterday our boats got surprised by a gentle blue whale roaming the bay.
However, today started just as good since the blue whale was still in Skjálfandi Bay and could be seen from the RIB speed boats as well as the oak boats. The gentle giant was easily to observe as it swam slowly and surfaced a lot. A couple of times it even lifted its huge tail high out of the water.
Humpback whales were swimming and feeding in just the same area. Often, our passengers got to observe one of those whilst waiting for the largest animal on earth to break the surface again!
