EVENING'S DELIGHT ON A RIB SPEED BOAT

Puffins

BLUE WHALES CONTINUE TO SHOW UP ON RIB SPEED BOAT TOURS.

We left Husavik's harbour with a total absence of cloud and fog. Once we got to Lundey and reached the puffin colony, we were able to see thousands of them diving and flying all around the island. We were pleased to see that the birds were particularly active so we stayed around the island for a little while watching the show they were putting on for us.

Despite the choppy sea and the wind, we chose to head north to look for some whales further outside. This happened to be very worth it as it didn’t take long until we spotted a massive blow in the distance. This was very exciting for the guests and crew and we managed to get closer to the action. It was a blue whale! This is always a very special sighting as they are the largest and the heaviest animal known to have ever existed!

Then, we headed towards the south of the bay to get back into calmer water and searched for something else to look at. Short after we found the first blow, and only seconds later we realised there were even more around. We were lucky enough to have several humpback whales surfacing at the same time around our boat "Amma Sigga", which made the perfect end of the tour!

Thanks to everybody that joined us that day!
