HUMPBACK WHALE CELEBRATING ITS RETURN

Jumping Humpback Whale in Skjálfandi Bay

Even though we are still waiting for the summerly weather to arrive – the whales do not seem to be concerned: Just a couple of minutes ago news from one of our whale watching boats arrived saying that a couple of humpback whales were spotted in the bay.

These whales spent the winter time in warmer waters for giving birth to their calves and are now returning to our bay for feeding.

To top all up, one seems to celebrate its return with some acrobatic jumps – passing on its joy to passengers and the crew on board!

For sure summer will be here soon!
