THE BLUE WHALE IS BACK - MAY 17
What a morning!
The passengers and crew on our 9:45 tour were very lucky. On this trip we encountered three humpback whales and the first blue whale of the year! The weather was great and people happy.
We are lucky in Húsavík, as this is one of the few locations in the world where you can see blue whales like this. They are the world's biggest animals - ever! - with a length of up to 30 metres and weight of around 190 tonnes.
When talking to Captain Pétur earlier, he said that this was "one of the best tours so far this season".
