SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT? WE MAKE IT HAPPEN!

If you want to experience Iceland, what could then possibly be more Icelandic than going fishing with a real fisherman and get the fish cooked the Icelandic way in an Icelandic home?

Three Russian men took the chance yesterday, and even though this is not yet a developed tour by Gentle Giants, we listened to our their wishes and made it happen.

The Russian friends went out on a combined sea angling and whale watching tour with our captain Sverrir. When they came back to harbour I picked them up and we went together with the fillets to a private home where Hanna Skúladóttir, a local experienced cook, had prepared the food. All what was missing was the fish, which we brought and she finished on the spot.

The three course meal included salad and drinks, their own fried fish (can not be fresher!), boiled potatoes, cocktail sauce, fried onion, and ended with Icelandic skyr (a yoghurt-like product), cream and blueberries for dessert.

“Just like home, but not at home” one of the men described the his lunch experience, and it was exactly that feeling we wanted to give them.

We at Gentle Giants are happy to arrange special tours in cooperation with our customers, to make unforgettable experiences for both parts. The limitations of possibilities are up to your imagination. Contact us if you have a dream which we could possibly help you realise and we will make it happen!
