MINKE BREACHING ON SEVERAL TRIPS
“I got so surprised when it jumped – I've never, during all my minke encounters, experienced anything like it!” Guide Guðrún explained to us, excited after her 13:15 tour. For the last weeks (months!) the whale status in the bay has been great! We have had humpbacks and/or blue whales on nearly every tour. Today was the first day in a long time when the biggest whales seem to have taken a pause. Loads of minkes were spotted instead and Guðrún's and María's tours show that the minke whales can be just as nice if you only give them a chance.
