CONDITIONS CHANGE RAPIDLY
9:45 I went out with Captain Óðinn on a Sylvía full of passengers. Cloudy but calm. We found a minke whale and two groups of amazing white-beaked dolphins. I pinch my arm when seeing those beautiful animals bow-ride just for fun, right under the noses of my passengers. That is freedom!
13:15 the clouds cracked up and let the sun through. The minke whale and dolphins were not seen but a humpback became the star of that tour. Already then I shared my thoughts with the passengers onboard; Imagine how fast conditions change in the bay...
Daniel took over after me at 16:45. He just called and reported that they have watched two blue whales (biggest creatures on Earth ever!) for a long time, quite far south in the bay.
Imagine that. Dolphins and minke – humpback - blue whales. All in one day! That is the nr 1 reason why you should go whale watching with Gentle Giants in Húsavík.
