GETTING READY TO WELCOME YOU
Now we do not count months or weeks anymore, we count days until the 2011 season starts, slowly but surely.
Gentle Giants crew members Bessi and Máni are working hard to get our fleet in top shape for the summer. The weather has been good for maintenance, painting and other preparations. It takes a lot of work to keep our traditional oak boats in good shape, and we make a special effort to protect and maintain our vessels with cultural and historical importance.
Faldur is the oak boat which will start up our whale watching season. This morning he went back into his most comfortable environment – the sea - after days of beauty treatment on dry dock. Now it is Sylvías turn to get polished on, while Faldur is ready to welcome thousands and thousands of passengers onboard during the upcoming season.
Our scheduled tours will start on the 1st of May but as both Faldur and his crew can not wait to get out of on Skjálfandi Bay again, we might arrange some extra tours from Easter – if the weather allows. Please contact us for more information;
