A STAFF TRIP TO PARADISE

Another unforgettable staff trip was held by Gentle Giants yesterday - for the crew and its family. Our destination was a place on the opposite side of the bay called Naustavík. Only a few of us had actually been to this Paradise before - until yesterday...

Naustavík is a little bay protected from winds by beautiful cliffs. Closest to the water there is black sand and higher up on the beach are stones, patterned like the Icelandic horses; in all possible colours. This is a place to experience with many senses; the beautiful scenery, the typical smell of sea and the sound of waves rolling in. There is nothing but nature.

A powerful river with melt water is eagerly finding its way down from the top of the mountain, to the ocean. Above the beach is a house. A grey boxhouse, like dropped in the middle of nowhere; in the middle of all this.

We went to this magic place and enjoyed good Icelandic lamb cooked by Atli from Restaurant Salka. We made a bonfire and were chilling together until darkness fell over the bay.
